Rates

I offer tutoring services for current massage therapy students and graduates waiting to write/rewrite their registration exams. My teaching philosophy centers on meeting students where they are at and teaching in a style that matches each student's ideal learning method. I encourage students to set achievable learning goals throughout sessions while fostering appropriate clinical reasoning and test-taking skills for exams.

Qualifications:

6 years+ of teaching experience
Over 200 hours of tutoring for massage therapy students for written & practical courses
Graduate of the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy with Dean's List distinctions
UBC Bachelor's of Kinesiology & Minor in Psychology with Honours
Over 2 years of prepping students for the CMTBC written & practical Board exams,

from first-time writers to 3rd-time re-writes

Please note: I have a high volume of requests/referrals - if students are not willing to fully commit, your spot will be given to the next person.

Massage Therapy Courses (all levels - non-graduated students):

$55 per hour, minimum 1 hour per course subject for the initial session (virtual or in-clinic)

Registration/Board Exam Prep (graduate students/inter-provincial/re-writes):

$30 mandatory online consultation - 30 minutes (discussion of CMTBC analyses, study plan, etc.)

$35 (as above) + CMTBC supplementary plan paperwork (for REWRITES as required per CMTBC)

$65/hr - written exam review (virtual only)

$65/hr - mock PBA (palpation, location of landmarks, MMTs; case study components) - virtual only

$85/hr - in-person mock PBA or written exam review - Vancouver/Burnaby/New West regions only

*Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with the CMTBC - mock PBA exams are based on what is publicly released by the CMTBC to applicants. I create individualized written questions, palpation lists, and case studies from scratch according to what each student needs help with most. Feedback provided is based on compiled marking rubrics of advanced-level treatment courses and my personal teaching experiences.

Payment/Cancellation Policy:

A 50% deposit is required to secure a session, by e-transfer. I offer tutoring services each term to a limited number of students, based on the availability and breadth of courses that are being covered. In cases of cancellation/rescheduling, please provide more than 48 hours of notice (within reasonable circumstances). Deposits will be applied toward a rescheduled session within a 30-day period. Refunds/deposit deferrals are not provided to a no-show without communication.
